Privacy policy

Last updated: June 2026

OKCC respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through our website, why we collect it, how we handle it, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

OKCC is a creative and innovation agency based in Paris.

For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), OKCC is the data controller responsible for the personal data described below.

2. What data we collect

We keep data collection to a strict minimum. The personal data we collect through this website is:

  • Your email address, when you choose to subscribe to our newsletter via the form in the site footer.
  • Newsletter engagement data: whether you opened our emails, whether you clicked any links in them, and the date and time of these actions. This is collected via a tracking pixel embedded in each newsletter and via URL redirection through our tracking subdomain (links.okcc.agency).

We do not collect names, phone numbers, IP-based tracking data, or any other personal information through the site. We do not operate a contact form: the contact details shown on the site are provided for you to reach us, not collected from you.

3. Why we collect it and on what basis

We use your email address to send you our newsletter. We use the engagement data (opens and clicks) to understand which content interests our subscribers and to improve our editorial choices.

The legal basis for both is your consent, given when you submit the newsletter form. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see Section 7).

4. How long we keep it

We retain your email address and associated engagement data for as long as you remain subscribed to the newsletter. If you unsubscribe, we remove your address from our active mailing list and delete it from our records within a reasonable period.

5. Who has access to your data

Your email address and engagement data are stored and processed by the following parties:

  • OKCC, in an internal database managed through Sanity (our content management system).
  • Resend, the third-party service we use to send our newsletters and to measure opens and clicks. Resend acts as a data processor on our behalf and operates on AWS infrastructure.
  • Upstash (QStash), which we use to schedule newsletter delivery at specific times. QStash only processes internal newsletter identifiers, not your email address.

These providers process your data only to deliver the services described above, under contractual arrangements that require them to protect it. Some of this processing may take place on servers located outside the European Economic Area; where that is the case, appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place to protect your data.

We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with any other third party for marketing or any other purpose.

6. Cookies and tracking

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics on the website itself.

In our newsletter emails, we use a privacy-respecting tracking pixel and link redirection (through links.okcc.agency) to measure email opens and clicks. This helps us understand which content interests our subscribers. You can opt out at any time by unsubscribing — we will then stop collecting engagement data for you.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restrict or object to the processing of your data.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time. Every newsletter we send includes an unsubscribe link that lets you do this in one click.
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In France, this is the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés, cnil.fr).

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@okcc.agency. We will respond within the timeframe required by law.

8. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your data safe and to prevent unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.

10. Contact

For any question about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at hello@okcc.agency.
